The Wax Alter – Return & Refund Policy

At The Wax Alter, every candle is hand‑poured in small batches with care and intention. Because of the nature of our products, all sales are final. However, we want you to feel confident in your purchase, and we stand behind the quality of our work.

Eligibility for Returns or Refunds

You may request a return or refund only in the following situations:

  • Incorrect item received: If we sent the wrong product, we will replace it or issue a refund.

  • Product arrives damaged: If your candle is damaged during shipping, please submit a photo of the damage along with your order number within 7 days of delivery. If 7 days have passed since you received your order and we have not received a claim from you, the sale becomes final and all return or refund requests are void.

  • Candle does not function as intended: For example, if the wick will not light or the candle will not burn properly due to a manufacturing issue.

Non‑Returnable Items

  • Used or burned candles: Once a candle has been lit, it is no longer eligible for return.

  • Products damaged through misuse: Damage caused after delivery (dropping, improper storage, etc.) is not covered.

  • Custom or special‑order items: These are final sale unless defective.

  • Your order number

  • A clear photo of the damaged or incorrect item

  • A brief description of the issue

We will review your claim and respond within 2–3 business days.
